Your home staging web site might look great, but is it doing the job it needs to so that potential clients can find you? Here’s a little “health check” you can do and it’s important even if you’ve hired a professional to build your site for you.
Search engines don’t read a web site the way you and I do.
When you have any page on your web site open, you can look under “view source” or “view source code” in your browser menu to be able to see your site the way search engines do. Here are some important things you should find as you look at the code for each and ever page of your web site.
- a “keyword rich” description of what your site is about
- the text that actually appears on your pages
- your company name, your name and the services you offer
If you don’t want to learn how to do this or worry about it, you can join the Staging Diva Directory of Home Stagers. We ensure that your listing can be indexed by search engines and I will personally design a complementary brochure for your company when you commit for a full year.
